Taylor and Pork Chop

while we were in beautiful hawkins, texas we went to angela's house (which i hadn't seen before). it is way way cool! i got the tour and lauren and judson played pool with taylor down in the basement. then we drove over and met taylor's pig "pork chop". she's a nice pig really. a "blue butt" (the official breed name).

k, just so you know, lauren started this. the fact that judson and i did the same thing is completely inconsequential.

Angela, surprised at the Sonic drive-through

so we (lauren and judson and i) decided we'd drive out to hawkins and visit angela while she was working at sonic. she was appropriately surprised. we thought she'd be waiting on cars and we could order our meal one item at at time so she'd have to come out to see us 20 times. to our disappointment, she was working the drive-through window. but, we drove through and she didn't see us ahead of time. judson and lauren hid beside the car in front of us. when it drove off, they jumped up to the window. all i did was take the picture.

yes, 28! that's the number of wasps and yellow jackets that decided to end their lives today. a virtual dia de los muertos of stinging critters. this is an annual thing. they fly down my chimney, then up into autumn's room. cept that today i happened to be doing some recording in autumn's room (more abou that in a future post), so every time one of the little buggers would start buzzing around the window >>>splat!<<<. why do they do this?
